Damage Allowances

The "Damage Allowances Report" feature has been enhanced with several key updates to improve clarity and functionality. The focus of these updates is to refine the column names and totals, ensuring that the data presented is more accurate and user-friendly. Additionally, a significant UI/UX redesign has been implemented for damage reports on the Order page, providing a more streamlined and intuitive user experience.

Damage Allowances Report - Column / Total Fix

1. Columns:
  • "Amount" has been renamed to "Amount Offered" for better clarity on the value being offered.
  • "Amount Received" is now referred to as "Credit Amount" to accurately represent the credited amount.
  • "Date Accepted" has been changed to "Date of Damage" to reflect the date when the damage occurred.
  • "Notes" has been updated to "Resolved Notes" to specify that these notes relate to solutions.
  • "Description" has been renamed to "Damage Description" for clearer identification of the damage specifics.
2. Totals Tiles:
  • A new total tile for "Credit Amount" has been added to both the Open and Resolved tabs, providing a clear summary of credited amounts in each category.

UI/UX Redesign for Damage Reports

1. Damage Report

A new "+ Damage Allowance" button has been added, which opens a detail pop-up similar to the one available on the Order page. The column title "Notes" has been renamed to "Resolved Notes" to align with the changes in the Damage Allowances Report. The description column now has a character limit, with a "See Details" link that users can click to view the full details in a pop-up.

2. Order Page

The "Damage Allowance" option has been removed from the select action menu for a cleaner interface. A dedicated notes section for damage allowances has been added to the Order page when a user creates a damage allowance.

Resolved Notes are now displayed in the notes section. If the status is "Open", the section will display "None Found". If it is "Resolved", the resolved notes will appear. The Damage Allowance Note can be clicked to view details in a popup, though it is not editable.

Abandoned Cart Quotes - POS

The "Abandoned Cart Quotes - POS" feature has been introduced streamline the process of handling abandoned carts, making it easier for salespeople to manage potential sales opportunities. This feature automates the creation of quotes in the Point of Sale (POS) system when users initiate the checkout process but do not complete it.

1. Abandoned Cart Workflow

When a user clicks Checkout, fills in their billing information, and then clicks Continue to Scheduling, the system will automatically create a quote. This quote includes the customer details, product information, and the associated salesperson. The quote will automatically appear in the respective salesperson's "My Quote" section, identified with an eCommerce icon.

2. Quote Locking Mechanism

10-minute Lock: For the first 10 minutes after the quote is created, all actions related to the quote in the POS (such as editing, deleting, etc.) will be disabled.

Post 10-minute: After 10 minutes, the actions related to the quote will be enabled, means user can edit.

3. Dynamic Quote Updates

If the user makes changes on the website (such as switching products, changing the salesperson, etc.) and the quote has not yet been edited by the salesperson, the quote will automatically update to reflect these changes.

If the salesperson can be able to edit (after 10-minute lock):

  1. If the user is still in the checkout process when the salesperson edits the quote, the user cannot continue to checkout since it has been edited by the salesperson. A notification pop-up will appear on the website informing the user of the changes.
  2. If the user returns to the cart from the checkout process, and the salesperson edits the quote, the system will automatically create a new checkout process for the user.
4. Salesperson Notification

After 60 minutes, if the quote is not "active", the system will send an email notification to the selected salesperson, alerting them of the abandoned cart quote.

5. New Internal Notification

A new internal notification has been added to the system under the "Ring Bell" icon. The abandoned cart functionality applies only to products and does not apply to services labeled as "Instant Only".

Routing Page: Install Print

A new feature has been added to the Routing Page on Appliance.io, enhancing the print options for installation-related tasks. This update introduces an "Install Only" option within the Print All functionality, allowing users to generate reports focused solely on installations.

1. New Print Option

A new option labeled "Install Only" has been added to the Print All dropdown menu. This option enables users to generate printouts that focus specifically on installation tasks.

2. Print Format
  • Truck-by-truck: This format remains unchanged and allows users to print installation details sorted by individual trucks.
  • Stops in Order: This format also remains unchanged, organizing installation tasks in the order of stops.
3. Data Columns in the Printout

The "Install Only" printout will include the following data columns:

  1. Order #
  2. Install
  3. QTY

Note:

The printout will include data for home visit installations. If there are no installations scheduled for a specific date, the "Install Only" option can still be clicked, but the generated printout will be empty.
