Delivery Provider

We are introducing an important update to our onboarding process in the delivery settings.

During the onboarding process, users are now required to specify the type of business  they operate. The options available are:

  • Appliance Retailer: Businesses that sell appliances directly to consumers.
  • Appliance Delivery Provider: Companies specializing in the delivery of appliances, potentially linked with retailers.

The delivery settings are distinct between the two types, with specific configurations available in the design documents for reference.

Also, we have added a new feature that enhances collaboration between appliance retailers and delivery providers by allowing them to link delivery settings and schedules.

  • Company Settings:
  • Each company will have the Partner ID visible in their company settings. Users can now manage their Partner ID and view linked company information.
  • Users can input Partner IDs and use a “view settings” feature to confirm compatibility before linking. Both clients must confirm the link to prevent accidental linking.
  • Delivery OS Settings:
  • Enhanced to accommodate shared delivery methods and settings between linked companies. Delivery provider companies can send invitations to appliance retailer companies they wish to share delivery methods with.
  • Linked delivery methods can be used like any other delivery method for the client but remain uneditable for the appliance dealer. Clients can view delivery data of a linked delivery method (reports, deliveries page routing).
  • Routing Page:
  • Updated to show delivery routes and orders specific to the user’s company, with visibility restrictions for shared routes. Any user with routing page permissions can edit the shared route.

Appliance retailer companies receive invitations via email and must accept to link delivery settings. Upon acceptance, they need to configure the services they want to use (install, delivery only, haul away).

Appliance retailers can only see orders from their own company when viewing shared delivery methods. Orders from other companies using the same method will be blurred.

Notes:

  1. Appliance retailers can view, but not edit, the delivery settings once linked.
  2. A delivery method must have all automation settings completed before it can be shared.
